Hi everybody!
I hope youโre doing great wherever you are. These are not the calmest and less stressful times weโve known in history, but theyโre not the worst either. Try to stay hopeful, safe, sane, and healthy. As long as youโve secured those four things, youโre in a pretty good place.
Long time no see if youโve been around for a while! My last post was written on the 4th of June or about 5 months ago!
This last post was actually questioning the future of Behind the Curtain (BTC). In the meantime, my other newsletter Snowball focusing on personal finance (in French ๐ซ๐ท) took off and absorbed most of my free time:
For a while, I wondered if Snowball would remain a side project or if Iโd turn it into something bigger.
The latter quickly became an obsession.
If youโre obsessed with something, at least when it comes to business and passion, itโs usually a great thing.
Those who know me are probably aware that Iโm a huge fan of transparency. From my annual YOLO Reports to all the resources from Comet (my previous company), I shared here, on Behind the Curtain or there, I love to share things in order to help and inspire people.
Since I did not have enough time to work on BTC, I naturally thought about turning it into an extension of Snowball.
Just as a reminder, the original goal of BTC was to share what happens in the backstages of the best companies: their tools, their processes, and their methods.
I will not go far from there in this updated version of Behind the Curtain.
Indeed, Iโll share my journey building Snowball. From a tiny newsletter back in March, to hopefully something way bigger in a few months, years.
Iโll share with you (mostly) everything here:
My questions and doubts
The tools Iโm using
How Iโm building the Snowball brand
My strategy
My updated strategy
My once again updated strategy
Fundraising
Building a community
Hiring
โฆ
Basically whatever it takes to turn a side project into a full-fledged company.
Do you want to learn from my mistakes and successes? Do you want to follow this journey out of curiosity? Do you want to witness my success or my epic failure?
If the answer is yes, then you can stay here, otherwise, you can just click on unsubscribe below ๐.
No offense at all as I understand that this is not exactly what I originally pitched.
Iโll still continue to share resources from other companies here as long as theyโre useful for the construction of Snowball. So youโll still be able to discover great tools, methods, and processes Iโll be using.
Thatโs it for today. Stay tuned for the first episode coming out really soon.
If you know someone whoโd love to learn from BTC, just forward this email or click here: ๐
See you soon, or goodbye to those who decide to leave. ๐
